Does it make you sad or a little hopeful?
When I first ventured out after weeks shut away, it made me sad.
Everywhere was quiet, and people looked away as you passed.
Everything was serious, and we carried anxiety, frustration and uncertainty as we moved about quietly.
But then the cases started to reduce, and small shoots of timid optimism started poking through.
I gave up listening to daily broadcasts, viewing graphs, reading survivor accounts.
Working from home started feeling normal. And better.
Potentials started to appear - for improvement.
I started to have optimism.
I started to rally.
I know it will be tough, and we must tread with caution, but in adversity there is opportunity.
And so we must push forwards and rebuild. Better.
